Design of the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon

The Air Force Recruiter ribbon is ultramarine blue divided by four equal stripes of turquoise. Bronze and silver oak-leaf clusters are worn on the ribbon to indicate subsequent awards of the Air Force Longevity Service Award.

What is the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon Decoration?

The Air Force Recruiter Ribbon is the most recent of the Recruiting Service Ribbons to have been created and was established by order of the Secretary of the Air Force on June 21, 2000. The Recruiting Service Ribbon recognizes those military service members who have completed a tour as a military recruiter in one of the United States Military Recruiting Commands. Personnel graduating from the Air Force Recruiting School may wear the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon immediately, provided that the personnel is serving in a United States Air Force Command. After thirty six months of recruiting duty, the award may be kept permanently, providing the service member?s tour as a recruiter are free of disciplinary action. Additional awards of the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon are denoted by the oak leaf clusters. By 4 September 2014, the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon is no longer awarded. Personnel serving as a recruiter is recognized by the award of the Air Force Special Duty Ribbon.
