Commissioned Officer Candidate - 09S
Officers are the leaders of the Army. They lead from the front and adjust to environments that are always changing. To be an officer is to be respected as a Soldier and an inspiring leader — both within the Army and its community. Officers earn this honor because they're trained to enhance personal and professional development of all whom they meet and work with.
Officers receive training in career fields such as communication, personnel management, finance and logistics to develop leadership and problem-solving skills.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is an examination that is administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command. It is used to determine qualification and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.
