United States Marine Corps Enlisted Pay

Enlisted marines in the United States Marine Corps receive a diverse compensation package, including a variety of benefits and payments. A marines' primary salary consists of monthly basic pay, the amount of which is determined by the marines' Department of Defense paygrade. The twelve enlisted ranks in the Marine Corps range from the entry level DoD paygrade E-1, Private, to paygrade E-9, Sergeant Major Of The Marine Corps.

Enlisted marines are eligible for automatic pay raises on a yearly or biyearly basis, depending on their current Marine Corps paygrade. Marines at lower paygrades will reach their maximum basic pay much faster then ranking marines at higher paygrades, who may continue to receive periodic raises for decades of service.
